Reboot

Okay, so I've ignored this for quite some time now. It was intended as a sort of creative equivalent of a developers sandbox, to throw ideas around in, and to try bypass this rather obsessive compulsive thing I have with being perfect all the time in my creative endeavors. It ended up being the container for a couple of poems of questionable quality (apologies to those who have expressed fondness for them, all three…wait…four of you :D ) I have mixed feelings, but I will try to write more…I think). But I do want to continue this idea of an informal space to throw ideas around in, especially as it would be a good way for me to prepare myself for a future project I have in mind (more shall be told of this in times to come).

At the moment I'm playing around with some hopefully awesome digital drawings, that are intended, to some degree, to communicate the disjunctive nature of mine own, and possibly others' digital existence. I think there's possibly a rather strong theme relating to how relationships are affected by all of this, and the conflicting senses of belonging, identity and isolation that may result. They are coming along (excruciatingly slowly, it's a masochism thing, I like the agony, I am becoming convinced). See them here, pretty pictures of a mildly disturbing nature are good for you, and so say I, ultimate authority on something or other.

I've connected this blog thing to my artist website (also in the process of being given a new lease on life), and intend, by conflating all my various internet bits into one conglomerate, to achieve some consistency of output, and gain some feedback. Preferably constructive, but I shall accept insults and mockery if they are clever and amusing. I miss the notion of a shared studio, of popping around to the neighbor for a cup of coffee (or herbal tea, criminal though that may be) and talking crap. So this is now my virtual studio, I hope you'll visit, and say many annoyingly provoking things…
